65 athletes participate in the 2024 Lao Cai Provincial Club Tennis Cup

On the morning of May 11, the Department of Culture and Sports opened the 2024 Lao Cai Provincial Clubs' Tennis Cup at the tennis court, Sports and Physical Training and Competition Center.

The tournament had 65 athletes from 6 units in the province.

Athletes compete in 6 events, including: men's leader-soldier doubles, men's doubles 46 years old and above, men's doubles 45 years old and below, amateur men's doubles, mixed doubles and men's singles.

Athletes in each age group are divided into groups to compete in a round robin within the group to select the best athletes to advance to the next round.

Athletes competing in men's doubles must be 46 years of age or older.

This is an annual tournament to maintain and encourage the movement of practicing tennis in particular and sports in general among cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and people, contributing to promoting the movement "All people practice sports following the example of great Uncle Ho".

Immediately after the opening ceremony, matches took place in the men's doubles category of leader - soldier and men's doubles category aged 46 and over.

The closing ceremony and awards ceremony are expected to take place at noon on May 12.
