On the afternoon of August 11 in Hanoi, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor chaired and coordinated with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Vietnam Confederation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) to hold a press conference on the “Outstanding Enterprise for Workers Award 2025”, to honor businesses that have made great efforts in caring for workers’ lives and building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations. This award was organized by Lao Dong Newspaper.
According to Ms. Thai Thu Xuong, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor , in 2025, 28 outstanding enterprises will be honored, selected from hundreds of applications.
The criteria strictly assess the responsibility of enterprises to their employees, to the State, and to society. In which, the responsibility to employees is to comply with labor laws and have a safe and clean working environment.
At the same time, these enterprises also have many policies to take better care of their employees and have strong grassroots unions, making positive contributions to the state budget, proactively investing in production development, and applying new technologies.

The representative of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also said that among the 28 enterprises honored this year, many have met the criteria 9-10 times. There were 2 enterprises that were eliminated because of recent violations related to labor relations.
This year’s award ceremony has special significance, as part of a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2. The honoring ceremony will take place on the evening of August 15 in Hanoi , with the participation of Party and State leaders.
Ms. Thai Thu Xuong affirmed that the award is a worthy recognition for businesses that have made great efforts to care for their employees, fulfill their obligations to society, the community and social responsibility. This is also a motivation to spread positive values in the Vietnamese business community.
Since 2014, the program has honored 578 enterprises. Of which, 20 enterprises have received certificates of merit from the Prime Minister. In 2025, the program will prioritize selecting private enterprises, foreign-invested enterprises, small and medium-sized enterprises, and joint-stock enterprises with less than 50% state capital - in line with the spirit of Resolution 57-NQ/TW on the development and application of science and technology, innovation and Resolution 68-NQ/TW on developing the private economy to become an important driving force of the economy.
