4 months after storm No. 3, in Van Don, the locality that suffered the most damage among the coastal localities, up to now, people, businesses and cooperatives have restored farming activities immediately after being allocated water surface. This morning, December 29, in Hon Chin, Van Yen commune, 20 million mollusk seeds were planted for commercial farming by 2 cooperatives and 1 enterprise of Van Don district.

The entire 20 million mollusc seeds including clams and clams have been planted for commercial farming by Trong Vinh Trade and Aquaculture Cooperative, Manh Duc Trade and Aquaculture Cooperative, and Van Don Trading Company Limited at Hon Chin, Van Yen Commune. This is one of 91 marine areas planned by Van Don district in the Project on developing marine aquaculture in Van Don district until 2030, with a vision to 2045. These 3 units have applied the bottom-level and beach-based farming methods to help reduce investment costs and environmental impacts.

Up to now, Van Don district has organized the handover of over 8,000 hectares of sea surface so that organizations and individuals can confidently rebuild production.

The organization of large-scale aquaculture breeding by 2 cooperatives and 1 enterprise of Van Don district will contribute to creating large output of goods with the farming objects being local native mollusc species.

It is known that since storm No. 3, aquaculture activities in Van Don district have gradually stabilized. The whole district has organized the allocation of over 8,000 hectares of sea surface in the aquaculture planning area to over 1,200 member households of 85 cooperatives in the area to rebuild local marine aquaculture production activities.
