Yen Khanh, building cultural spaces to serve the people and develop tourism

In Khanh Hong commune, the project "Community Cultural Activity Space" phase 1 was inaugurated and put into use on the occasion of the 135th birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh .

The project is designed with a spacious space, located right in the center of the commune, near primary and secondary schools with beautifully decorated miniature landscapes; the playground is arranged with Ukrainian version of swings, Greek version of swings, Korean version of love chairs, seesaws... attracting a large number of people, especially young people and children to come and play and experience.

Mr. Pham Van Nghi, a resident of Hamlet 5 (Khanh Hong) said: Having a community cultural space like this is a favorable condition for us to have fun and entertainment every day, contributing to a happier and more meaningful life. The most excited are the teenagers and children, after school they have a place to play, away from phones and computers...

According to comrade Vu Van Quan, Secretary of Khanh Hong Commune Party Committee: With the attention of the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of Yen Khanh District Party Committee has oriented and directed localities in building and preserving historical and cultural values imbued with the identity of each locality. From there, the Party Committee and the government of Khanh Hong Commune have cherished the idea of building a community space for people to have fun and experience.

Over the years, the Party Committee and the government of Khanh Hong commune have always paid attention to building a cultural and spiritual life for the people. We are deeply aware that, in addition to economic development, creating healthy and useful entertainment spaces is extremely necessary, especially in the current period when the urbanization rate is increasing rapidly, space is increasingly narrowing, if we do not pay attention to planning and implementing early, there will be no opportunity to build public spaces in residential communities for the people.

The project was implemented at a time when Khanh Hong commune will soon merge with Khanh Nhac commune to form a new commune, Khanh Nhac commune. Therefore, this will be a mark for people to preserve memories of the current Khanh Hong commune. This is also a useful work to concretize the study and follow the ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh in caring for the material and spiritual life of the people.

Comrade Duong Duc Khanh, Secretary of Yen Khanh District Party Committee said: After implementing the new administrative unit arrangement, we want to form green, clean and beautiful office spaces in general at agencies and units as well as traditional cultural-historical spaces in each locality, creating landscapes and public cultural living environments to help local people have opportunities to have fun, entertain, improve the cultural and spiritual life of the people and contribute to promoting tourism development, forming sightseeing and experience spots in the area.

With the ideas and determination of the Standing Committee and the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, up to now, many agencies and units have built bright, green, clean and beautiful office environments and spaces, and in some localities such as Khanh Hong, Khanh Cu, Khanh Nhac, etc., typical cultural spaces are also being formed, closely associated with the history, traditions and cultural characteristics of each locality.

The district focuses on building a healthy and rich cultural environment, including creating cultural spaces, moving towards developing tourism and trade, promoting economic, cultural and social development of each locality in the district with the aim of serving the spiritual life, ensuring the material life of the people, and contributing to building the homeland and country to become increasingly rich and civilized.

In the past time, performing tasks in the context of "running and queuing at the same time", all leadership, direction and operation activities to implement socio-economic development tasks in Yen Khanh district have always been smooth and uninterrupted. The patriotic emulation movements have been actively implemented by the District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee, creating motivation for each cadre, civil servant, public employee and worker to uphold their spirit, responsibility and strive to complete their tasks.

Along with the dedication and responsibility to complete the work and tasks in the "sprint" period before returning to the new unit, from the ideas and policies of the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, many agencies, units and localities have launched a movement to build a bright-green-clean-beautiful environmental landscape and office space so that when receiving the new office, it will also contribute to creating motivation for cadres and civil servants of the new unit to work with a new spirit...

Since the beginning of May 2025, the District Cultural Center has inaugurated the project "Community Cultural Playground Landscape" which not only creates a cultural space, green-clean-beautiful landscape for the city but also a safe and healthy entertainment and recreation spot for rural children during the summer.

In addition, based on the characteristics of each locality, the formation of cultural spaces associated with history, traditions and characteristics has also been promoted by some localities, such as the "Khanh Nhac Green" project in Khanh Nhac commune, which has been under construction since April 2025. The project combines the creation of green spaces with cultural and community values. This is a project to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels and is implemented entirely by the locality from socialized sources, with the active participation of the community and organizations in building the beauty of the common space for Khanh Nhac's homeland.

Yen Khanh district has just inaugurated the project where Uncle Ho visited and encouraged the people of Yen Khanh district to fight against drought in 1959 at Cham Field, Khanh Cu commune and installed the signboard of Xuan An Traditional Cultural and Historical Space in the commune center to contribute to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, cultural heritages, linking with socio-economic development, tourism, towards building public spaces, improving the material and spiritual life of the people...

By paying attention to building cultural, historical and traditional spaces, Yen Khanh district wishes to contribute to preserving, honoring and promoting the unique cultural values of each locality, enriching the spiritual life of the community and educating traditions, arousing pride in the homeland for generations.

At the same time, it creates a meaningful community cultural activity point where people can exchange, learn, create and enjoy cultural values. Create a space to introduce and promote local cultural products and specialties, contributing to promoting local socio-economic development.
