After the flood receded, Muong Xen commune (Nghe An) was in a state of chaos. Mud and wood from upstream were piled up meters high, making it difficult to overcome the consequences of the flood. This morning, July 24, hundreds of people from the blocks and villages flocked to the damaged areas to join hands to support.

To help the affected people, from early morning, the border guards and other forces came to join hands to overcome the consequences of the natural disaster. Notably, more than 300 people from Huoi Giang 1,2,3 and Lu Thanh villages (former Tay Son commune) did not hesitate to overcome difficulties, traveling more than 10km of forest road, carrying hoes and shovels, and rolling up their sleeves to share with the damaged areas. Ms. Ha Y Lu said that her child is only 5 months old, but seeing that people in the commune's blocks are so heavily affected, she agreed to take care of her child while working. "Maybe the child also understands the hardship of his mother and the loss of the people, so he is very obedient" - Ms. Y Lu shared. Photo: Dao Tho
