The export value of some other fruit and vegetable products to the European Union market in the first 6 months of 2025 increased sharply compared to the same period in 2024, including: Mango reached 39.9 million USD, up 28.6% over the same period in 2024; Pistachios reached 34.2 million USD, up 102.1%; Pineapple reached 19.5 million USD, up 207.9%; Coconut reached 18.3 million USD, up 49.1%; Lemon reached 9.8 million USD, up 37.7%; Dragon fruit reached 9.36 million USD, up 10.5%; Almonds reached 6.87 million USD, up 140.7%; Corn reached 4.1 million USD, up 36.6%.
One of the important factors promoting fruit and vegetable exports to the European Union market in the first 6 months of 2025 is the tariff advantage from the Vietnam-European Union Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).
On the other hand, consumer demand in the European Union is recovering strongly and Vietnamese fruits and vegetables are increasingly favored by European Union consumers thanks to improved quality. In addition, fruit production in some European Union member markets has decreased due to adverse weather, making the region increasingly dependent on imported supplies, including Vietnam.
