On December 30, the Military Region 7 Command held a press conference to inform about the "Spring of Soldiers" program in 2025, with many meaningful highlights towards border and island areas on the occasion of Tet and Spring.
According to Major General Hoang Dinh Chung, Chief of Politics of Military Region 7, this year's "Spring Soldiers" program was organized by the Military Region 7 Command in coordination with Party committees and authorities of many localities in border and island areas.
Thereby, promoting the tradition of mutual love, mutual assistance, and combined strength, mobilizing resources to care for the material and spiritual lives of cadres, soldiers, families of policy beneficiaries, families in difficult circumstances in border areas, islands, and ethnic minorities.
According to Major General Hoang Dinh Chung, the funding source for this year's "Spring Soldiers" program is socialized, mobilizing the combined strength of the political system and the entire society. On average, each year, the "Spring Soldiers" program receives support of about 5 billion VND to take care of Tet for people in difficult circumstances and soldiers and civilians in border and island areas.
Accordingly, this year's program will organize an incense offering ceremony at the Traditional Monument of the Armed Forces of Military Region 7 and the Long An Province Revolutionary Historical Site; inaugurate and hand over the Kindergarten and the Military-Civilian Gratitude House. Of which, a Kindergarten in Thanh Hoa District will be donated, with a budget of 5.2 billion VND; 7 Military-Civilian Gratitude Houses will be donated to cadres, soldiers, families of compatriots and religious people in especially difficult circumstances, each house will be supported by Military Region 7 with 80 million VND.
The highlight is the Art Program with the theme “The Song of Vam Co Dong”, held at the Cultural Park of Duc Hue District, Long An Province. The program was broadcast live on Long An Provincial Radio and Television Station and rebroadcast on Ho Chi Minh City Television Station and Radio and Television Stations of provinces in Military Region 7.
The 10th “Spring Soldiers” program in 2025 will take place on January 17, 2025 in Duc Hue district, Long An province. This is the birthplace of the Armed Forces of Military Region 7 on December 10, 1945. The program is organized by the Military Region 7 Command in coordination with the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Long An province.
