Feeling sorry for a family of 6 without a toilet, MC Quyen Linh took meaningful action

At the recent Vietnamese Family Home program, MC Quyen Linh could not help but be moved by the situation of a mother raising 5 children whose family did not even have a toilet.

That is the story of Dinh Thi Luong, born in 2010, who lives with her mother and four siblings in Quynh Luu, Nghe An . Her father died two years ago of stomach cancer. Luong and her six children are living in a makeshift house on her uncle's land.

Dinh Thi Luong's family faced many difficulties, the mother alone had to raise 5 children.

Without their own toilet, the family often has to use the neighbor’s toilet, which is extremely inconvenient. The main income of the whole family depends on the mother’s salary as a garment worker, which is 4.5 million VND/month.

Seeing their mother struggling, Luong's older sister had to both study and help out at a restaurant to earn extra money to support their mother. Despite their difficult circumstances, Luong's sisters were always optimistic, studied hard and achieved good results.

Witnessing the character's situation, MC Quyen Linh was both surprised and moved. He sympathized with the woman who had to work for a family, earning only over 4 million VND per month but had to take care of 5 children. The fact that the family had 4 daughters but did not have a toilet and had to always rely on neighbors' houses also shocked the MC.

He admitted that he was completely helpless when faced with this situation. “The smallest thing that we all have is a toilet, but your family doesn’t have one, it’s so difficult. It only takes about 3-4 million to build a toilet, but I don’t know where to get the money to live, how can I have money to build a toilet,” he confided.

MC Quyen Linh decided to spend his own money to support his family.

Having spent nearly 30 years traveling all over the country and thinking he had no more emotions left due to the many situations he had encountered, Quyen Linh still feels heartbroken for the families in need. "It's 2023, but there are still such difficult situations somewhere," the MC shared and called on everyone to skip a cup of coffee or a breakfast to help the families.

In particular, when hearing Dinh Thi Luong say that even though she had to go to the bathroom at night, she still had to hold it in so as not to disturb the neighbors, MC Quyen Linh decided to use his own money to donate to the family to build a toilet, so that the family would not have to suffer inconvenience in daily life.

He also specially gave the family 5 million VND, hoping to give the children more strength, faith and motivation in life.
