Truck carrying cassava plunged into abyss, 3 people injured and dead

This afternoon (October 21), Chairman of Tri Le Commune People's Committee (Que Phong District, Nghe An ) Vi Van Cuong said that a traffic accident had just occurred in the area, causing 3 casualties.

Initial information, at around 9:00 a.m. the same day, Mr. Lang Van T. (born in 1991, residing in Tien Phong commune) drove a truck carrying cassava with license plate 98C-080.39 on National Highway 16, heading towards Kim Son town, Que Phong district.

Also traveling in the car were Ha Van M. (born in 1991); Lang Van N. (born in 1983, residing in the same locality).

While traveling on National Highway 16, passing through Lam Hop village (Tri Le commune), the car suddenly lost control and plunged into the abyss.

The accident crushed the cabin of the truck, and dozens of tons of cassava fell out of the truck.

Victim T. died on the spot, the other two people were seriously injured and were rescued from the cabin by local people and taken to the emergency room.

Que Phong District Police are currently coordinating with relevant units to organize an investigation into the cause of the incident.
