In recent days, social media has been posting images and clips of a female student being repeatedly beaten by her classmates. Upon verification, it was found that the student who was beaten was a 7th grader at Thuan Nam Secondary School, Ham Thuan Nam District.
The clip shows several students in uniforms attacking a fellow student, while another student uses his phone to record the footage. The images were later posted on many social media sites, causing outrage among the families of the beaten students; many parents whose children study at the school were also confused when they saw the clip.

Through verification, the incident occurred in Tan Lap commune, Ham Thuan Nam district on November 7. The person who was beaten by the group was a 7th grade female student at Thuan Nam Secondary School, Thuan Nam town, Ham Thuan Nam district ( Binh Thuan ). According to Ms. NTTH, the female student's mother, the student is currently being treated at Ham Thuan Nam Medical Center. Her health condition is stable, but she shows signs of panic and crying.
According to Ms. NTTH, after the incident happened, she reported it to the school, but the school said that the incident happened outside the school and not during the students' class hours, so the school was not aware of the incident.
Notably, according to the female student's mother, some parents, including the grandmother of a student (identified as having participated in beating the victim), came to the hospital room to challenge her and film the incident, causing the victim to panic even more.
The victim being treated showed signs of panic when meeting strangers.

Speaking to Thanh Nien reporter, Ms. Mai Thi Ngoc Anh, Vice Chairman of Ham Thuan Nam District People's Committee, said that after learning about the incident, the district directed Ham Thuan Nam District Police to investigate and take timely measures to prevent the above situation from recurring. Currently, the police have met with some parents and the mother of the beaten female student to take statements.
A leader of Ham Thuan Nam District Police said that he had directed the professional team to work with the Board of Directors of Thuan Nam Secondary School to take disciplinary action against the offending students; at the same time, he would use this incident to draw lessons from all schools in the district to deter and educate students not to repeat the situation of students fighting. This leader also said that the clips on social networking sites have been removed.
Meanwhile, speaking to Thanh Nien reporter, Director of Binh Thuan Department of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Toan Thang said that she had just learned the information yesterday afternoon and had asked the Department of Education and Training of Ham Thuan Nam district to report the incident. At the same time, she requested strict handling according to the school's regulations for the violating students.
