Minister Nguyen Van Hung chaired a meeting of the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the dissemination and implementation of a number of key tasks in the coming time.
Previously, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung issued Document No. 3806 dated August 1, 2025 to Deputy Ministers; Heads of agencies and units under the Ministry on the implementation of key tasks under the direction of key leaders of the Party and State.
Accordingly, in order to synchronously and effectively implement the Conclusions of the Party and State Leaders, especially the direction of General Secretary To Lam and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the recent working sessions with the Minister and Leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Minister assigned tasks to the Deputy Ministers and Heads of agencies and units to urgently deploy the following 6 key groups of tasks:
Firstly , the preparation and organization of the Exhibition of socio-economic achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Second , deploy the construction of the Project and draft Resolution of the Politburo on building and developing Vietnamese culture in the new era.
Third, activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector's traditional day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025).
Fourth , implement special art programs and foreign cultural activities.
Fifth , deploy tasks on decentralization, delegation of authority, determination of authority and organization of two-level local government.
Sixth , prepare for State visits of Party and State leaders.
In document No. 3806, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung clearly assigned tasks to Deputy Ministers and Heads of agencies and units to promptly carry out each task according to their functions and duties.

At the meeting, Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh, Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong and leaders of units under the Ministry spoke and presented opinions related to the implementation of a number of key tasks of the Ministry in the coming time.
After listening to opinions and concluding the meeting, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that the meeting discussed many important issues related to the implementation of some immediate and long-term tasks of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The Minister requested the Ministry's Office to synthesize and absorb reasonable opinions and report to the Ministry's leaders to include in the concluding notice.
The Minister requested that units under the Ministry seriously carry out the assigned tasks in Official Dispatch No. 3806 dated August 1, 2025 and note the following issues:
Regarding the preparation and organization of the Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th National Day, the Minister suggested that after completing and approving the design and building the 3D model, the units need to coordinate with the Government Office to promptly explain and report to the Prime Minister and the Exhibition Steering Committee before starting construction. In addition, it is necessary to prepare well for the art programs and communication work about the Exhibition.

Regarding the activities to prepare for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, the Minister requested units to seriously carry out their assigned tasks. Special attention should be paid to the very important task of preparing for the mass parade. The Department of Performing Arts, the Department of Vietnam Sports and Physical Training, the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library must closely follow the script to practice, ensuring the requirements set forth.
Regarding the special art program serving the people on the occasion of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, 2025, the Minister requested that the program must ensure high artistic quality, have profound political content; at the same time, be attractive and enjoyable; especially focus on guest work, digital media and international guests.
The Minister also requested that the agencies and units of the Ministry located in Hanoi must respond to the peak month of launching urban infrastructure renovation and general environmental sanitation.
In particular, the Minister directed: "To serve the people coming to Hanoi to attend activities to celebrate the August Revolution and National Day September 2, 2025, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will open free admission to the Ho Chi Minh Museum; the National Museum of History; the Museum of Fine Arts from September 1 to September 3. The Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater and the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism will also open to visitors for free from September 1 to September 3."

Regarding the implementation of tasks on decentralization, delegation of authority, division of authority and organization of 2-level local government, the Minister assigned Deputy Minister Phan Tam to direct the Department of Publishing, Printing and Distribution to coordinate with the Department of Legal Affairs to urgently complete, print and distribute the Handbook on decentralization, delegation of authority and division of authority in the fields of culture, information, sports and tourism to promptly provide it to localities for implementation.
The Minister also assigned the Department of International Cooperation to preside over and closely coordinate with specialized agencies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to grasp the situation and developments; at the same time, regularly coordinate with units of the Central Party Office to promptly report to the Minister. Coordinate with the Ministry's art units to prepare the Art Program to ensure compliance with the political requirements assigned by the General Secretary, with unique content, form, artistic language, rich in messages, modern and profound ways of expression, demonstrating the position and cultural identity of Vietnam.
Regarding the implementation of the Project and the draft Resolution of the Politburo on building and developing Vietnamese culture in the new era, the Minister stated that the development of the Resolution demonstrates the great concern of the Party and State leaders for the cultural field. According to the Minister, entering the new era, there must be new policies, new policies must inherit the best, detect bottlenecks, and at the same time propose tasks and solutions.
Clearly identifying this as an important political task, of special concern to the General Secretary and other Party and State leaders, the Minister requested that the work be carried out urgently and decisively. The Resolution issued will contribute to enhancing the position of the Ministry and the Industry, determining the direction, long-term vision, and strategy for cultural development.

Regarding the activities to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025), the Minister requested careful, urgent and thoughtful preparation for the 80th Anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day to honor the contributions of the Ministry and the Culture, Sports and Tourism Sector over the past 80 years to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party, the country and the people, with the spirit of looking back to move towards the future.
Regarding tourism development, the Minister requested the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism to make more efforts to implement the Party and State's directives on tourism development. In particular, the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 will be an opportunity for the tourism industry to promote its image, attract domestic and international visitors, thereby striving to achieve the target of welcoming international tourists assigned by the Government.
In addition to the tasks specified in Official Dispatch No. 3806, the Minister also requested units to seriously implement Conclusion No. 3585/TB-BVHTTDL dated July 21, 2025 at the Conference to review the work of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the first 6 months of the year, and deploy key tasks for the last 6 months of 2025.
At the meeting, the Minister assigned the Department of Organization and Personnel to urgently deploy the application of the KPI index - an index to evaluate the work performance of cadres, civil servants and public employees, to be applied uniformly throughout the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as soon as possible./.
