Vo Minh Lam is the first contestant to win the prize. Golden Bell of Traditional Opera 2006. At that time, the contest was also called Traditional Opera Star of Television .
Sharing at the press conference, Vo Minh Lam recalled the time when he was a 17-year-old boy from his hometown Can Tho who came to a big competition. That boy was still very shy, bewildered and did not expect that he could reach the highest prize of the influential Cai Luong competition on television.

That first award was like a launching pad for Lam to approach the cai luong stage. With perseverance in practicing the profession, the dedicated teaching of skilled teachers, directors, and writers.
Over the past 20 years, Vo Minh Lam has been considered one of the outstanding cases, one of the artists that Golden Bell of Traditional Opera is proud to have discovered. Today, he is one of the brightest actors in the Cai Luong village, winning many valuable professional awards and has been awarded the title of Meritorious Artist by the state.

Mr. Minh Hai, head of the organizing committee of the Golden Bell of Traditional Music , said that one of the major changes of the special competition, season 20, is that the station has boldly given the positions of judge and coach to outstanding factors discovered from the Golden Bell of Traditional Music .
Specifically, they are People's Artist Ho Ngoc Trinh, Meritorious Artist Vo Minh Lam and Meritorious Artist Ngoc Doi. That proves their maturity over time and the choice of the award that day was correct.
Golden Bell 2025 will receive a prize of 150 million VND
If every year, the Golden Bell winner receives a prize of 100 million VND, then on this special occasion, the contestant who wins the Golden Bell will receive up to 150 million VND. The Silver Bell winner receives 80 million VND and the Bronze Bell is 50 million VND.
This year, the organizers received 176 entries, about 10 more than last year.
After the preliminary round, the judges selected 32 candidates to move on to the selection round.
This year’s selection round also has a change. Instead of one contestant singing a traditional song, this year the contestants will be paired up to compete together. In addition to judges Ho Ngoc Trinh, Vo Minh Lam and Ngoc Doi, this round also has guest judge, artist Chi Tam.
From this round, 9 contestants will be selected to enter the final ranking round taking place on the competition nights of September 7, 14, 21 and 28 at HTV Television Theater.
The final round of judges includes three main artists: People's Artist Thanh Nam, People's Artist Trong Phuc and People's Artist Phuong Loan. Each competition night will add two guest judges who are veteran artists.
To celebrate the 20th award season, the organizing committee will hold the Golden Bell Gala program on August 31 in the form of a television bridge, one location at the station and one planned location on Nguyen Hue walking street.
