Vinfast exports 2,500 electric cars to Indonesia

On March 9, nearly 2,500 VinFast electric cars left Mipec - MPC Port (Hai Phong - Vietnam) for Jakarta (Indonesia) on the dedicated ship Silver Queen. This is the fourth ship and the ship carrying the largest number of cars to Indonesia just one year after VinFast officially entered the market.

The Silver Queen ship with a new look, painted red all over, with a large white VinFast logo and words running along the ship's body, has been present at Mipec port (Hai Phong) since March 4, 2025. After receiving nearly 2,500 VinFast electric cars, the ship officially left the port on the evening of March 8, 2025 to export cars to the Indonesian market.

The shipment includes 4 models: VF 3, VF 5, VF e34 and Nerio Green, produced for the Indonesian market with the characteristic of left-hand drive, equipped with the right-hand steering wheel. After arriving at the Indonesian port, the cars will be delivered by VinFast to dealers in time for delivery to customers right before the Muslim Lebaran (Eid al-Fitr) holiday as a meaningful New Year gift.

Indonesia is currently one of VinFast's key markets in Southeast Asia, with strong and impressive growth. After only one year of entering the market, VinFast has successfully launched 3 car models: VF 3, VF 5, VF e34, imported the 4th batch and received positive feedback from consumers. In particular, the latest car model VF 3 had an impressive debut at IIMS 2025, becoming the most test-driven car model within the exhibition, affirming the great interest of Indonesian consumers in VinFast.

With the goal of making electric vehicles more accessible, VinFast also continuously offers attractive special policies such as: free charging of VinFast electric vehicles at the charging station network operated by V-Green until March 1, 2028, cashback incentives and attractive gifts for pioneering customers buying cars, commitment to buy back up to 90% of the car value...

VinFast's business in Indonesia is also being strongly supported by strategic partners in the ecosystem such as GSM and V-Green. In December 2024, Xanh SM - an electric taxi service using 100% VinFast electric vehicles was officially launched and is on the path to strong expansion. Global charging station developer V-Green is also rapidly promoting the construction of thousands of charging stations in many cities to meet the explosive growth demand of Vietnamese electric vehicles in the archipelago.
