Vietnam Post mobilizes 8,000 employees to support administrative procedures at commune level across the country.

On July 1, Vietnam Post Corporation (Vietnam Post) synchronously deployed forces to support commune-level authorities in receiving and returning administrative procedure results, contributing to realizing the goal of building a modern public administration that is close to the people and serves the people.

Accordingly, Vietnam Post has developed a master plan for nationwide implementation and updated, inspected and evaluated the implementation in each commune; continued to organize support and guidance for people to perform online public services; received documents and returned results of administrative procedure settlement at post office service points located in the center of the old commune/ward far from the Public Administration Service Center of the new commune/ward to facilitate people and businesses; arranged sufficient forces, equipment and means to return results of administrative procedure settlement to people at the requested address and circulate documents between the Public Administration Service Center of the commune/ward to the agencies handling administrative procedures and vice versa.

According to the master plan deployed nationwide by Vietnam Post, a total of 8,000 officers and employees have been assigned to support the implementation of tasks at the People's Committees at the commune level, including:

- 3,340 direct support staff at 3,321 People's Committees of communes/wards/special zones;

- 3,321 postmen are responsible for delivering administrative procedure results to the requested addresses of the people;

- Nearly 1,400 permanent staff are ready to support any arising issues.

On the first day of implementation, Vietnam Post conducted field inspections in more than 700 communes, accounting for about 25% of the total number of communes nationwide, to ensure service quality.

At the commune-level public administrative service center, Vietnam Post staff perform many tasks: Guiding people and businesses in preparing documents; Supporting online submission of documents and digitizing documents; Receiving and returning results of administrative procedures; Transferring documents between the administrative center and competent authorities; Receiving feedback and recommendations related to the settlement of administrative procedures.

Mr. Chu Quang Hao, General Director of Vietnam Post, said that all staff participating in the support have been thoroughly trained and professionally instructed from the head office to the provincial and municipal post offices. At the same time, Vietnam Post has fully prepared equipment, facilities, infrastructure and uniforms, ready to coordinate with local authorities in receiving, processing and returning administrative procedure results quickly and effectively.

With a network of more than 13,000 service points nationwide, Vietnam Post is playing the role of an "extended arm" of the government in administrative reform, especially in communes/wards that have just been rearranged into a two-level local government model (provincial level - commune level) from July 1, 2025.
