Vietnam Airlines announces opening of direct flight to Hanoi

On the occasion of the Australian Prime Minister's visit to Vietnam and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Australia diplomatic relations, Vietnam Airlines officially announced the operation of a new direct flight route between Hanoi and Melbourne from June 15, 2023 with a frequency of 2 flights/week on Thursdays and Sundays every week.

Vietnam Airlines announced the launch of a direct flight between Hanoi and Melbourne, witnessed by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

The new Hanoi and Melbourne route will create more convenient travel conditions for passengers wishing to travel , visit relatives, work or study in Australia's second largest city.

With the opening of the new Hanoi - Melbourne route, Vietnam Airlines affirms its position as the airline with the most direct flights with the highest frequency between Vietnam and Australia. Accordingly, the airline operates 4 direct flights from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City to Sydney and Melbourne with a total frequency of up to 18 flights/week.

With the opening of the new Hanoi - Melbourne route, Vietnam Airlines affirms its position as the airline with the most direct flights and the highest operating frequency between Vietnam and Australia.

As a 4-star international airline according to Skytrax standards, Vietnam Airlines is committed to optimizing the passenger experience on the ground and in the air.
