Vietnam establishes 3 strategic technology innovation networks

(HTV) – Chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung, the Ministry of Finance announced the establishment of three Innovation and Expert Networks in key technology fields: Quantum (VNQuantum), cybersecurity (ViSecurity) and aerospace – unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV Vietnam).

Around the world, quantum technology, cyber security and UAVs are reshaping the future of economics as well as national security and defense. Vietnam is facing a great opportunity to make a breakthrough in these areas.

The establishment of three new networks is considered a strategic step, contributing to the completion of the "global Vietnamese intellectual ecosystem", creating a core force to help the country catch up and rise in cutting-edge technology industries.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung emphasized that this is just the beginning of a long journey, where Vietnamese intelligence at home and abroad join hands to shape the country's future.

He expects the three networks to become "extended arms" of the Government, accompanying ministries, sectors and businesses in policy making, promoting research and application of new technologies.

Previously, two networks on semiconductors and artificial intelligence were established. Thus, with the three new networks, Vietnam is forming "innovation nuclei" to turn "difficult problems" into "great opportunities", affirming its determination to proactively grasp global technology trends, building a solid foundation for sustainable development and prosperity.
