At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the visit and work of the delegation vividly demonstrated the special, close and unique relationship of trust between the two countries; highly appreciated the results of cooperation in many fields, especially the exchange of experiences in the field of state-owned enterprise reform, a field of strategic significance for the sustainable economic development of each country, actively contributing to strengthening the great relationship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh warmly congratulated Laos on its important achievements in maintaining political -social stability, national defense-security, and economic development; affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to and gives the highest priority to the great Vietnam-Laos relationship; expressed his excitement at the positive and comprehensive development of the cooperation between the two countries in many fields; and respectfully conveyed the greetings of General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man to the senior leaders of Laos.

The Prime Minister shared with the delegation about the process of reforming and restructuring state-owned enterprises in Vietnam in recent years, from rearranging the enterprise portfolio, equitization, divestment of state capital to perfecting institutions and policies to improve operational efficiency; emphasizing that Vietnam always considers state-owned enterprises as one of the important pillars of the economy, while at the same time implementing strong reforms to ensure effective, transparent operations and compliance with market mechanisms, and preventing corruption and negativity.
The Prime Minister also shared experiences in modern corporate governance, decentralization of power to state-owned enterprises, application of information technology, digital transformation in management and operation, as well as promoting innovation to enhance competitiveness, especially promoting the human factor in ensuring the success of state-owned enterprises.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that Vietnam is willing to exchange experiences in reforming and restructuring state-owned enterprises, introducing the system of legal documents and management processes, as well as methods of capital mobilization and investment management; suggested that the two sides establish a regular exchange mechanism between functional agencies, especially the exchange of practical experiences at Vietnam's state-owned corporations and groups, which will help create a comprehensive and in-depth perspective to filter and apply appropriately to the practical situation of Laos.

Lao Deputy Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasith respectfully thanked Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh for receiving and showing his warm feelings towards the delegation, and conveyed Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone's regards to senior leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam.
The Lao Deputy Prime Minister sincerely thanked and appreciated Vietnam's valuable, selfless and pure assistance to Laos during the past struggle for national liberation, as well as in the current cause of national protection and development.

Lao Deputy Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasith reported to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on the results of the delegation's working session with Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission Tran Luu Quang and Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc with in-depth and extremely effective exchanges.
He highly appreciated Vietnam's experience in reforming and operating models of state-owned enterprises as valuable lessons; emphasizing that in the process of building an independent and self-reliant economy, Laos always cooperates closely and wishes to learn valuable experiences from Vietnam, especially in the field of management and development of state-owned enterprises, new governance models, towards building an efficient and sustainable Lao economy.
* On the same day, at the Government Office, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc, Head of the Steering Committee for Enterprise Innovation and Development, had a working session with the Delegation of the Lao Enterprise Reform Committee of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party led by Comrade Saleumxay Kommasit, Politburo member, Deputy Prime Minister of Laos, Head of the Committee.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc affirmed that cooperation and experience exchange in this field is a strategic requirement to consolidate the macroeconomic foundation, serving the goal of sustainable economic development of each country; sharing that in recent years, Vietnam has implemented many synchronous solutions, issued and implemented many policies to innovate and reform state-owned enterprises towards modernization, improving efficiency and competitiveness.
The results achieved confirm the correct direction of the Party and State in leading the reform of state-owned enterprises, thereby helping enterprises promote their pivotal role in the economy and actively contribute to social security, national defense and security of the country. Vietnam is ready to comprehensively share its experience and support Laos in the process of reforming and innovating state-owned enterprises, and also wishes to learn valuable experiences from Laos.
Lao Deputy Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasit expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome of the Vietnamese Party and Government leaders; emphasizing that this visit is of great significance in enhancing understanding and learning from the experiences of Vietnam, a country that has achieved many outstanding achievements in innovation and improving the efficiency of state-owned enterprises, especially in the context of deep international integration.
The Lao Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that reforming state-owned enterprises is a key task to build an independent and self-reliant economy of Laos; he hoped to continue receiving support from Vietnam, especially in training management staff and applying information technology in business management and operation, and affirmed that Laos will create all favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to invest and do business in Laos.
At the meeting, the two sides had in-depth discussions on specific measures to promote cooperation in the field of state-owned enterprise reform; discussed the direction of cooperation in the coming time; agreed to continue to maintain a regular exchange mechanism between functional agencies, creating conditions for sharing information and experience and promoting substantive cooperation, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries.
