According to Forbes , Chairman's assets Vingroup Pham Nhat Vuong has just reached the milestone for the first time. 11.3 billion USD , up nearly 1 billion USD just in the past day. With this increase, Mr. Vuong is now ranked 238th in the list of the richest billionaires on the planet.
With his current assets, Mr. Vuong is the first Vietnamese person to own over 11 billion USD net worth according to statistics of Forbes from before until now. The owner of Vingroup is also the richest person in the country.
This magazine currently records that Vietnam has 5 USD billionaires. Besides Mr. Vuong, the remaining 4 people on the list are Chairmen Vietjet Air Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao ( 2.7 billion USD ), Chairman of Hoa Phat Tran Dinh Long ( 2.5 billion USD ), Chairman of Techcombank Ho Hung Anh ( 2.4 billion USD ) and Chairman Masan Nguyen Dang Quang ( 1.1 billion USD ).
The above milestone was set in the context of the Vietnamese stock market experiencing a series of positive trading sessions. With a series of supportive news, the VN-Index has continuously increased points and is facing the opportunity to break the historical peak set in January 2022 (a milestone above 1,500 points).
Meanwhile, Vingroup’s VIC stock also demonstrated impressive leadership. Along with stocks in the ecosystem such as VHM (Vinhomes) and VRE (Vincom Retail), VIC played a pivotal role, contributing significantly to the market this week.
VIC shares are currently trading at VND107,200/share, the highest in the past 3.5 years. Since the beginning of the year, VIC's market price has increased by 150%.
Thanks to this increase, the group's capitalization has expanded to nearly 415,400 billion VND , consolidating the position of the private enterprise with the largest capitalization on the stock exchange, and ranking 2nd on the entire HoSE floor, just after Vietcombank.
The positive performance of VIC shares is the key factor that helps Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong's assets "swell" despite market fluctuations. With 449.9 million shares held directly, equivalent to 11.6% of the group's capital, the value of the VIC shares held directly by Mr. Vuong has reached 48,000 billion VND .
