Beltway 2.5 remains "inactive"

Báo Giao thôngBáo Giao thông05/03/2024

Beltway 2.5 (Dam Hong - National Highway 1 section) is a project approved by the Hanoi People's Committee in 2002, with a decision to clear the land since 2010. The project is invested in the form of a BT contract. This beltway section is about 2km long, designed to be 40m wide, with a 7.5m wide sidewalk. The total investment is about 1,300 billion VND. The BT project implementation period is from 2013 to 2016. However, to date, the project has only achieved 87% of its output due to land clearance problems. After many years of blocking the road, the remaining households have now handed over the land for construction.
