Accordingly, Mr. Brovdi commanded the remote-controlled FPV drone unit “Madyar Birds” to actively participate in attacks on airfields of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS), destroying many Russian Tu-95MS strategic bombers.

After his promotion, Brovdi announced a major reform of the drone control units. The commander’s goal for the next 100 days in office is to ensure technological superiority at the front line, as well as increase the effectiveness of the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces.
The first step is to implement the collective experience of SBS units that have achieved outstanding results. The next step is to build a transparent system to evaluate the effectiveness of units with the target that 6-7 SBS units will be among the top 10 most effective units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the near future.
The new tactics of confrontation with the Russian Armed Forces were introduced, including 12 additional training courses of tactical depth that involved the operations of all elements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This includes increasing the capabilities of independent ammunition production facilities; unifying logistics and making more extensive use of robotic systems for supply missions with the goal of self-producing ammunition for UAVs and delivering ammunition to operators as quickly as possible. At the same time, conducting personnel audits and establishing centralized training classes.

According to Russian experts, it should be noted that the appointment of such a good organizer and expert in the field of UAVs as Robert Yosypovych Brovdi to the post of commander of the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces is a bad signal for Russia.
It is known that “Operation Spider Web” was carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on June 1. This was one of the most daring attacks in the Russia-Ukraine conflict targeting a series of strategic Russian air bases.
The operation was planned by the SBU for 18 months, under the supervision of President Volodymyr Zelensky and SBU Director Vasyl Malyuk. The SBU claimed to have hit 41 Russian strategic aircraft, destroying 13 and damaging the rest.
