Head of Ke My hamlet, My Loc commune - Bui Van Thang is a reputable person in the locality, trusted and supported by the people in all campaigns.

Before taking on the role of Hamlet Chief, Mr. Thang was Deputy Chief of Police of Truong Binh Commune (now My Loc Commune and Can Giuoc Commune). With many years of experience working in the police force, he has a firm grasp of the area and a clear understanding of the population situation. When he became Head of Ke My Hamlet in 2020, he continued to promote that strength to be close to the people and play a good role as a bridge between the people and the government. Over the past 5 years, Mr. Thang has always been attached, dedicated, and wholeheartedly serving the people, contributing to creating positive changes in the area.

On the first days of his assignment, Mr. Thang starts to review living conditions and grasp the local social security situation. With the spirit of "The State and the people work together", he mobilized people to donate land and contribute funds to build 7 rural roads, with a total length of about 15km. To date, 100% of the hamlet's main roads have been concreted and asphalted, making travel and trade much more convenient.

Don't stop there, Mr. Thang also pioneered in mobilizing socialization to install solar lights on 10 roads with 258 bulbs, with a total cost of nearly 300 million VND. The bright, clean, and beautiful roads have now become a symbol of solidarity and joint efforts to build new rural areas of the people of Ke My hamlet.

Currently, Ke My Hamlet has 778 households with 3,158 people. Mr. Thang knows the circumstances of each household. Every year, he mobilizes the socialization of more than 750 gifts to send to poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households during holidays, Tet, and great solidarity days. Every Mid-Autumn Festival, he organizes entertainment, gives lanterns, and candies to children at the hamlet headquarters. Thanks to this practical care, in the past 5 years, the hamlet has reduced the number of poor households by 10.

The model residential road is more than 1km long, Mr. Bui Van Thang mobilized to plant more than 2,000 cotton trees, 200 bougainvillea trees, creating a landscape.

The former Ke My hamlet headquarters was simple, small and narrow. Mr. Thang mobilized social resources to build fences, pave bricks, install roofs, equip with air conditioners, televisions, tables and chairs, and plant flowers and ornamental plants around it. Mr. Thang said: “The hamlet headquarters is a place to serve the people, every holiday and festival is held here, so it must be spacious and clean so that the people feel attached. Every New Year's Eve, we organize a year-end party right at the headquarters.”

Mr. Thang shared: "In the past, being a police officer meant being tough and principled to maintain security and order. Now, being a hamlet chief means being flexible, mainly mobilizing and persuading people to agree." And thanks to his skillful and flexible way of mobilizing people, in every campaign, he always receives high consensus and support from the people.

Vice Chairman of My Loc Commune People's Committee - Bach Pham Minh Huy commented: "Mr. Bui Van Thang is very responsible for his work. With his approach of being close to the people, understanding the people and working for the people, he has aroused the spirit of solidarity and mobilized people to participate in new rural construction activities. From donating land, contributing to road construction to maintaining environmental sanitation and creating landscapes, the people of Ke My hamlet trust and enthusiastically respond every time Mr. Thang stands up to mobilize"./.
