Vietnam's 3-cushion carom billiards has 5 players who were specially invited to appear from the main round (round 32) of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City World Cup, including: Quyet Chien, Thanh Luc, Phuong Vinh, Le Thanh Tien and Nguyen Van Tri. Of which, Quyet Chien (ranked 4th), Thanh Luc (ranked 5th), Phuong Vinh (ranked 14th) entered the round of 32 because they were in the top 14 on the rankings of the World Carom Billiards Federation (UMB). The rest, Thanh Tien and Van Tri participated thanks to the priority of the host unit (Ho Chi Minh City Billiards & Snooker Federation - HBSF).
In Group D, Tran Quyet Chien's first opponent is determined to be Berkay Karakurt (Türkiye). According to the schedule announced by the organizers up to now, Vietnam's number 1 player is expected to play his first match against Berkay Karakurt at 10:00 on May 23. Berkay Karakurt is one of Türkiye's top players. The remaining two players in Group D will be determined after the qualifying rounds end.
Tran Quyet Chien is the Vietnamese player with the highest position on the UMB rankings.

Tran Thanh Luc is in Group E with Martin Horn (German, ranked 12th). Bao Phuong Vinh is in Group C with veteran Belgian player Eddy Merckx (ranked 3rd) and Le Thanh Tien. Nguyen Van Tri is in Group B with Korean "prodigy" Cho Myung-woo (ranked 2nd).
