At the opening ceremony of the National Achievements Exhibition this morning, August 28, General Secretary To Lam, former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and other Party and State leaders visited the exhibition areas, including the outdoor exhibition area of ​​the Ministry of National Defense.

The Ministry of National Defense's outdoor exhibition area is divided into 8 areas: 1 administrative area and 7 weapon and equipment areas (including navy, air defense - air force; electronic warfare, communications; ground artillery, self-propelled artillery; special weapons).

The exhibition area has 96 products of 61 types of equipment. Many of them are participating in the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2. In the photo are the Scud-B and S-125-VT ballistic missiles.

The Soviet-made Scud-B ballistic missile is in service with Vietnam's artillery. The missile has a maximum range of 300 km, a maximum weight of 5,860 kg, and a maximum lethal area of ​​4-6 hectares.

The S-125-VT missile, researched, improved, and modernized by Viettel , has outstanding advantages in terms of fast maneuverability, destroying targets at greater distances, and longer combat effectiveness. The S-125-VT is designed to destroy airborne attack vehicles, effectively destroying low-flying targets, and small-sized targets in complex interference conditions.

In addition, this complex is capable of destroying ground and water targets, operating independently or in air defense cluster formations.

The Truong Son missile complex was researched, designed, manufactured and produced by Viettel and is part of the coastal missile artillery force of the Vietnam People's Navy. The complex includes a combat command vehicle, a radar vehicle, a launcher vehicle, a missile loading transport vehicle and anti-ship missiles of different ranges. This complex is responsible for observing the sea surface, collecting and processing information, directing targets, selecting targets to destroy and carrying out missile strikes in modern combat conditions.
