The A80 mission equipment gathered in the center of Hanoi at night.

On the night of August 18, after completing preparations at the National Military Training Center 4 (My Duc commune, Hanoi), a convoy of tanks, armored vehicles and military equipment began moving to the center of Hanoi, preparing for a general training session before the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2 (mission A80).

On the night of August 18, there were 3 military convoys moving from their positions to the F1 Racetrack (next to My Dinh National Stadium, Tu Liem Ward, Hanoi) and the Command Center (Nguyen Tri Phuong Street, Ba Dinh Ward, Hanoi). At 11 p.m., the first convoy passed through the My Dinh National Stadium area.

The convoys move along the route: Ho Chi Minh road - National Highway 21A - Thang Long Avenue - Le Quang Dao - Le Duc Tho - Ho Tung Mau - Pham Van Dong - Hoang Minh Thao - Vo Chi Cong - Au Co - Nghi Tam - Cua Bac - Nguyen Tri Phuong

At about 11:30 p.m., a group of tracked vehicles and armored vehicles of the Armored Corps passed Au Co dike and headed toward Nghi Tam road in the rain.
