On April 16, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training Nguyen Bao Quoc said that the department will pilot the implementation of digital report cards for more than 132,000 first-grade students studying at public and non-public primary schools across Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the plan, from June 2024, primary schools will begin entering information and creating digital transcripts for all first graders in the 2023-2024 school year, then continue to implement the rollout for the remaining grades of primary school.

"Digital transcripts are one of the important requirements contributing to the implementation of digital transformation goals, including synchronizing databases to improve management in schools," said a representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training.

Currently, Ho Chi Minh City has prepared software solutions to deploy digital transcripts for first graders. Along with that, all teachers in the city have digital signatures.

In the near future, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City will coordinate with the Department of Education and Training of districts and Thu Duc City to organize training for teachers on how to use digital signatures in student records in the digital environment.

Ho Tan Minh, Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that previously, only when completing a level or grade or when transferring schools, parents could receive paper transcripts of their students. As for digital transcripts, since the implementation, parents can look up their children's learning results, thereby coordinating with teachers ineducating students.
