Bus route No. 86 will officially resume on September 5 after nearly 3 years of inactivity, meeting the wishes of people, especially students. At the same time, many bus routes connecting to metro line No. 1 will also be adjusted to facilitate travel.
MultiGo application continues to be strongly deployed, bringing convenience and incentives to students when using the bus.
According to the Public Transport Management Center, route 86 (Ben Thanh - Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment) connects the city center with South Saigon, passing through many universities such as Ho Chi Minh City Open University, University of Natural Resources and Environment, University of Physical Education and Sports .
The route operates from 5am to 7pm daily, with 110 trips per day. The route has new stops at Long Kieng Bridge and the Cultural - Sports Center (Le Van Luong). Ticket price: 6,000 VND/regular trip, 3,000 VND/trip for students, 135,000 VND/30 tickets.
From August 25, metro lines 154, 157, 166 and 168 will be adjusted to better serve the travel needs of students and workers.
Route 154 (Thanh My Loi - Masteri An Phu) now connects large apartment complexes such as CitiHome, Sun Avenue and Ho Chi Minh City University of Management and Technology (UMT), with 158 trips/day, every 10-15 minutes.
Route 157 (Van Thanh - Duc Khai apartment) connects Kim Cuong island area, One Verandah, with 158 trips/day, every 10-15 minutes.
Route 166 (VNU metro station - VNU area A) shortens trip time to 20 minutes, with 8-15 minute intervals, serving students and Suoi Tien tourists.
Route 168 (University of Technical Education - Binh Thai intersection) has a new route serving students of Thu Duc College of Technology, Banking University (Thu Duc campus) and accommodation areas along Hoang Dieu 2 Street, with 158 trips/day, operating time of 25 minutes.
Bus passengers using MultiGo enjoy many incentives for students
Public Transport Management Center cooperates with universities to deploy MultiGo application:
- Students authenticate online to receive a ticket discount of only 3,000 VND/trip.
- No need to bring student ID when riding; cashless payment via MultiPass card.
- Refund when recharging card or buying practice tickets via app.
- Track bus schedules, routes, and stops (especially route 86).
