Responding to voters' opinions about the gold market, the General Secretary said he was "very impatient" so he recently met with the Central Policy and Strategy Committee and relevant agencies to find a solution.
"Why can't we mobilize gold from the people? Why don't we let people contribute and deposit it into the State so that the State can accumulate and gain more strength? Why isn't there this policy? How many tons of gold are there? The world has statistics, we don't manage them, and we don't know about the people. Is there a gold market, a gold exchange, and how can we mobilize it?", the General Secretary raised the issue.
According to the General Secretary, this should have been directed by the Government, but it is indeed very difficult and urgent because this is a current issue that affects the people. Therefore, the General Secretary believes that it is necessary to manage the gold market well, prevent smuggling and respect the legal ownership rights of the people. Even people and companies accumulate, reserve, deposit in banks, and deposit in the State legally. "This must be put into management soon," the General Secretary added.
Regarding the private economy, the General Secretary emphasized: "I have said it before, I am not afraid that this economy is a capitalist economy, whether it deviates or not." According to the General Secretary, everyone must work to produce and create wealth for society so that society can develop, the State cannot take on everything.
When people take care of their own lives and get rich, developing the private economy is completely correct in theory and stance.
"This is a socialist-oriented market economy under the leadership of the Party and the management of the State," the General Secretary stated, adding that the private economy contributes over 50% of the country's growth and creates more than half of the jobs for the people. Therefore, the huge contribution of the private economy must be recognized.

Paying special attention to the issue of counterfeit goods, fake food, and fake medicine raised by voters, the General Secretary emphasized that he was "very concerned about this".
"Our management has no formality to lead to such a situation. Checking for counterfeit goods has led to the whole market having to close down, saying that all the goods are fake, smuggled, and of unknown origin. If we don't close the market and check, we will die. Just close the market and wait and see. It's very dangerous," said the General Secretary.
The General Secretary emphasized that fake food and medicine is "unacceptable". "Children need nutrition to grow, but instead of buying nutritious milk to drink, they get fake milk. Elderly people who are sick and cannot eat, buy milk hoping to be healthy but get fake milk. It's very unfair. The same goes for medicine, hoping to cure the disease but get fake medicine, not only does it not cure the disease but it is also more dangerous and extremely toxic", the General Secretary said and emphasized that we must declare war on this type of crime.
"Not only fake but also poor quality is not acceptable," the General Secretary affirmed.
