Speaking at the Exhibition Ceremony, Professor, Doctor, Hero of Labor Nguyen Anh Tri, founder of the Vietnam Scientists Heritage Museum, said that the Museum was established in 2004 and is a unit in the ecosystem of MEDLATEC GROUP.
With the mission of preserving and promoting the highest values of science, ethics, will and identity of Vietnamese scientists, the Museum has become a unique destination for all ages at home and abroad.
Currently, the Museum has more than 1 million documents/artifacts (paper, blocks, films, tapes, discs...) of more than 7,000 famous scientists in various fields nationwide.
Emphasizing the preparation for the exhibition, Mr. Tri said that 2 years ago there was a plan for this exhibition and it was planned to be done on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2.
The exhibition is the result of more than a year of careful preparation, built from a treasure trove of documents, artifacts and precious memories that the Vietnam Scientists Heritage Museum has patiently collected over the past 20 years. Hundreds of field trips, with thousands of hours of interviews, collection and processing of documents were conducted by the Museum staff.
Many of the scientists whose stories the Museum interviewed and recorded are no longer with us, but their memories and legacies have become an important part of the national heritage.

Through the stories of scientists, historical witnesses, or through the evidence associated with their lives, the exhibition brings to the public profound, authentic and touching stories about scientists and the journey of Vietnamese science throughout 80 years of building, protecting and developing the country. This is truly a unique space connecting science and culture, bringing diverse and meaningful experiences.
Not only introducing documents and artifacts, the exhibition is also a space to tell vivid historical moments, through many touching stories such as: Professor, Academician, Labor Hero Tran Dai Nghia, returning to Vietnam from France and laying the foundation for the country's defense industry; Professor Tu Giay founded the Vui Song newspaper to disseminate disease prevention knowledge among the people and the army; Professor Bui Dai went to the battlefield five times, contributing to extinguishing malaria outbreaks that raged on the fierce battlefield; Or Professor Ta Quang Buu proposed the motto of training intellectuals "Three Goods" and left a valuable legacy in the book "Song"; or stories about agricultural scientists such as Labor Hero Professor Luong Dinh Cua, Professor Bui Huy Dap, Professor, Academician Dao The Tuan, Professor, Labor Hero Vu Tuyen Hoang... who helped Vietnam from a country that experienced a terrible famine in 1945, become one of the world's leading rice exporters...

This exhibition is expected to introduce more than 150 outstanding scientists and nearly 200 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into 2 main topics:
Defending the Fatherland: Recognizing the contributions of scientists in the resistance war, from weapons research and manufacturing, ensuring medical care, to improving techniques to serve the battlefield;
Building and developing the country: Honoring research works, inventions, and solutions applied in life and production, contributing to the development of agriculture, healthcare, education, national defense, technology, environment, etc.
This is also an opportunity to honor the contributions of Vietnamese intellectuals. The coordination between the Heritage Museum and the Vietnam Union of Science Associations demonstrates a common commitment and responsibility in preserving and promoting the value of scientific heritage, while contributing to spreading authentic stories and inspiring achievements of generations of scientists to the public. The exhibition is expected to last 5 years, with artifacts and characters being changed periodically.
