At East Lake (Atlanta), Tommy Fleetwood wrote his own page in the history of his career. After 163 unsuccessful attempts, the British golfer finally won his first PGA Tour title.

It's not a minor tournament, it's the Tour Championship, and it carries the 2025 FedEx Cup .

Fleetwood finished the four rounds with a total score of -18 (262 strokes), 3 strokes ahead of Patrick Cantlay and Russell Henley. This time, perseverance and steely will prevailed.

Precise swings and the ability to stay calm on decisive holes helped him avoid the collapse scenario that haunted him for many years.

Golf fans have long feared Fleetwood. He is a bright face, loved for his signature long hair and soft playing style, but is associated with the image of “the great runner-up”.

From the Ryder Cup to many major tournaments, he has come very close to victory many times only to run out of breath at the last minute. Now, at East Lake, the pressure has turned into motivation.

When he successfully putted on the final hole, Fleetwood looked up and closed his eyes in a moment of release – he had let it all go. This was also the 11th professional title for the 34-year-old golfer.

This victory brought Fleetwood a prize of 10 million USD, equivalent to about 240 billion VND. This is a worthy reward for perseverance and a big boost both financially and mentally.

Not only himself, but also his long-time caddie Ian Finnis - who has accompanied Fleetwood through all the ups and downs - could not hide his tears of happiness.

Fleetwood became the second British golfer in history to win the FedEx Cup after Justin Rose (2018). More importantly, he proved that the image of a "loser" is now a thing of the past.

From now on, Tommy Fleetwood enters the group of true champions, with the support to continue writing the unfinished major dream.

No longer a beloved dark horse without silverware, Fleetwood is now the new FedEx Cup champion – and living proof that perseverance never pays off.
