On the morning of June 13, in Binh Duong province, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City organized a training course on dengue fever surveillance and prevention for district-level health workers in the Southern region.

Delegates attending the training

Attending the event were WHO Representative in Vietnam, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Vu Trung, Director of Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City, Doctor Huynh Minh Chin, Deputy Director of Binh Duong Provincial Department of Health, leaders of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and more than 300 officials in charge of Dengue Fever at district, town and city health centers of 4 provinces: Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Long An , Tay Ninh.

At the training session, representatives of WHO and Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City deployed procedures for receiving, processing, monitoring, online data entry, outbreak handling, chemical spraying, quality control of intervention activities and communication work for the delegates attending.
