The Government Standing Committee welcomes the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Government Office , relevant ministries, departments, branches and agencies under the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh for their great efforts in preparing to organize the exhibition. This is a large-scale activity, rich in content, a big task, a difficult task, an unprecedented task, a short time, high requirements... all ministries, branches and localities must participate with the highest sense of responsibility to be worthy of the stature of 80 years of protecting and building the country, ensuring inclusiveness, comprehensiveness, objectivity, honesty, feasibility and effectiveness.
Regarding the exhibition's objectives, the Government Standing Committee requested that attention be paid to depicting the process of implementing the two strategic tasks of protecting and building the country over the past 80 years. Arousing the pride and glorious historical traditions of the country over the past 80 years to motivate and inspire our nation to enter a new era, an era of strong, civilized and prosperous development. People can truly enjoy the achievements of our country through this exhibition, while introducing to international friends the achievements of our country over the past 80 years.
Organizing the exhibition "80 years of Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" from August 28 to September 5, 2025
Regarding the exhibition theme, the name "80 Years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" is unified. This name covers all the elements that our Party has mentioned, with no other goal: National independence, national unification and people's prosperity and happiness. At the same time, this name is also basically consistent with the orientation of the Central Steering Committee in the overall project of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
The exhibition will be held from August 28, 2025 to September 5, 2025. If people have wishes and desires, the exhibition can be extended to suit the conditions, management and payment capacity. So, 2 months to the opening day is very urgent. Therefore, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is very urgent. This is considered a political task in the coming time.
Vietnam Exhibition Center is a symbol of the spirit of innovation, development and aspiration to rise in the new era.
Regarding the viewpoint and guiding ideology of organizing the exhibition, it is important to mobilize the combined strength and great solidarity of the entire nation, the whole country, the People and businesses to organize this exhibition. Ministries, branches, agencies and localities must proactively promote this spirit, ensuring both the participation of the State and the encouragement of people and businesses to participate. Combining the exhibition of achievements of the country and the nation with the organization of healthy cultural activities and entertainment services. Combining tradition with modernity, combining culture imbued with national identity with human civilization, combining handicraft displays with modern technology, AI technology, virtual reality, 3D projection, sound, light, etc.
The Government Standing Committee assigned Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh to urgently complete the Exhibition Organizing Committee to promptly assign specific tasks related to overall design, specific design, and allocation of exhibition space.
Due to the urgent requirements of time and large volume of work, there needs to be a specific, special, and exceptional mechanism in the organization and implementation. The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism is assigned to decide according to his authority, and report beyond his authority. Finance is a combination of the state, the people, and businesses. After having a master budget, there will be a solution in the spirit of having the state, the people, and businesses.
The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism decided that the Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center Joint Stock Company would coordinate with foreign consultants (assigned by Vingroup to support hiring foreign consultants) with experience to review, advise, give comments, and complete ideas, zones, and exhibition display spaces.
The Government Standing Committee assigned Vietnam Television to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Voice of Vietnam, Hanoi People's Committee, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Vingroup Corporation and relevant agencies to organize a series of art programs before and during the exhibition.
Vietnam Television presided over and coordinated with Voice of Vietnam and Vingroup to organize cultural and artistic programs and performances at the National Exhibition Center on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnam Radio and Television and the 55th anniversary of the first television program broadcast.
Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, Head of the Steering Committee, continues to preside over and directly direct the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, ministries, agencies, localities, and members of the Steering Committee to perform the tasks of preparing and organizing the exhibition according to their authority and legal regulations.
