Organizing a Conference to Summarize 20 years of implementing the Secretariat's Directive on "Improving the overall quality of publishing activities"

Accordingly, implementing the Key Work Program for 2025; Plan No. 474-KH/BTGTW, dated April 24, 2024 of the Central Propaganda Department on summarizing 20 years of implementing Directive No. 42-CT/TW, dated August 25, 2004 of the Central Party Secretariat on "Improving the comprehensive quality of publishing activities", the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department issued a Plan to organize a Conference to summarize 20 years of implementing Directive No. 42-CT/TW of the Central Party Secretariat on "Improving the comprehensive quality of publishing activities" (2004 - 2024).

The conference aims to comprehensively evaluate the effectiveness of leadership, direction, management and organization of the implementation of Directive No. 42-CT/TW of the Central Secretariat after 20 years; clarify difficulties, limitations, obstacles, causes, lessons learned; propose specific, practical and breakthrough tasks and solutions to improve the overall quality of publishing activities in the new period.

Commend and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in organizing the implementation of Directive No. 42-CT/TW (2004 - 2024).

At the same time, prepare theoretical and practical bases for the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission to report, advise, and propose to the Central Party Secretariat to issue new instructions on continuing to "Improve the overall quality of publishing activities"; create favorable conditions for publishing activities to promote their role in the new period.

The organization of the summary conference must be conducted seriously, methodically, substantially, economically, ensuring time progress; the content and form must be appropriate and effective; practical solutions and tasks must be proposed, with focus and key points.

The conference is organized by the Central Propaganda and Education Commission in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam Publishing Association in a direct format. The conference is expected to take place in the last week of July 2025 in Hanoi.
