TKV directed to stop production in shifts 2 and 3 to respond to storm number 3.

In response to information about storm No. 3 (storm WIPHA), to ensure the safety of workers and assets, Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (TKV) has just directed open-pit and underground mining units to temporarily suspend production from shift 2 to the end of shift 3 on July 21 (in case of unusual developments of storm No. 3, a specific announcement will be made later).

Along with the decision to stop production, on July 20 and 21, TKV also organized 3 working groups to directly inspect the field work of storm prevention, control and response at member units in Ha Long, Cam Pha and the Western region. Through the inspection, the units proactively developed response plans, fully prepared forces, means and materials to be ready to handle bad situations caused by the storm.

The proactive suspension of production and comprehensive inspection of storm prevention and control work demonstrates TKV's determination to ensure absolute safety for workers and facilities, and maintain stable production after natural disasters.

The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control of TKV requested units to continue to closely monitor the weather situation, strictly implement instructions, maintain forces on duty 24/7, ready to respond to all situations and promptly update if there are unusual developments of storm No. 3.
