Continue to provide emergency support of 300 billion VND to Dien Bien and Nghe An

On August 4, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc signed Decision No. 1662/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister providing emergency financial support for Dien Bien and Nghe An provinces to overcome the consequences of floods (second time).

Specifically, the central budget reserve in 2025 supports 300 billion VND for 2 localities to overcome the consequences and stabilize people's lives after floods (including: Dien Bien 100 billion VND, Nghe An 200 billion VND) as proposed by the Ministry of Finance in Official Dispatch No. 11826/BTC-NSNN dated August 4, 2025.

The People's Committees of Dien Bien and Nghe An provinces are responsible for managing and using the above-mentioned additional funds, ensuring compliance with the provisions of the law on the state budget and other relevant legal documents; ensuring the correct purpose of use, correct objects, publicity, transparency, no loss or negativity; using the central budget support source, local budget source, other legal capital sources to promptly support people to stabilize their lives immediately after the flood.

Previously, on August 2, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc signed Decision No. 1653/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister providing emergency support of 250 billion VND for Son La, Dien Bien and Nghe An provinces to overcome the consequences of floods.
