Resolution 10-NQ/TU issued on April 5, 2017 by the Executive Committee of the Tien Giang Provincial Party Committee on economic - urban development of the three regions of the province to 2020 and orientation to 2030 has created a great driving force to properly exploit the potential and advantages of each region. After a period of implementation, Resolution 10 has been bringing positive effects to economic - urban regions in many fields such as agricultural production, industrial development, trade - services... Reality shows that each economic - urban region has its own characteristics, so when Resolution 10 was issued, it created a lever for economic regions to have conditions to invest and accelerate.
One of the main contents on urban development mentioned in Resolution 10-NQ/TU on economic - urban development of 3 regions of Tien Giang to 2020 and orientation to 2030 of Tien Giang Provincial Party Committee is to continue reviewing, adjusting, supplementing planning and renovating, developing urban areas in the direction of civilization, modernity and environmental friendliness. At the same time, it is necessary to continue investing in building basically complete and synchronous urban infrastructure in the central urban areas of 3 economic - urban regions (My Tho City, Cai Lay Town and Go Cong City), in accordance with the characteristics and development scale of each region. Next, Resolution 10 of Tien Giang Provincial Party Committee also aims to cover rural planning as a basis for gradually developing synchronous rural socio-economic infrastructure and building new rural areas; At the same time, synchronously build and gradually improve urban quality towards modernizing urban infrastructure.

When mentioning the results of implementing Resolution 10 of the Provincial Party Committee, with the position as the center of the Central Economic - Urban Zone, the leader of the People's Committee of My Tho City emphasized that in recent years, the My Tho City Party Committee has focused on leading, directing and organizing the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, national defense and security in the locality associated with the implementation of Resolution 10-NQ/TU, basically achieving the set goals. Most of the socio-economic growth, security and defense targets have been achieved and exceeded the resolution. One of the highlights is that the work of clearing traffic safety corridors, urban embellishment, and environmental sanitation has been focused on, creating positive changes in the appearance and landscape of the city.
Meanwhile, for the Eastern region, as the center of the region, Go Cong City has also focused on gradually completing investment, attracting investment to develop technical infrastructure, urban social infrastructure, residential areas, new urban areas, trade - services; considering it a breakthrough for economic development and the most important solution in creating momentum for widespread development, connecting with the development of satellite cities. By implementing the adjustment of the socio-economic planning of Go Cong Town to 2020, vision 2030 and the general planning of Go Cong City to 2030; the planning of the North and South inner city zoning, the urban development program, the land use adjustment planning have also been gradually approved, the traffic infrastructure is synchronously connected, the infrastructure is gradually completed.
According to Chairman of Go Cong City People's Committee Gian Ba Huynh, National Highway 50 through Go Cong City has been upgraded, expanded, connecting with Long An Province and Ho Chi Minh City via My Loi Bridge - My Tho City. In addition, the locality also coordinated with relevant departments and branches to accelerate the construction, completion of the traffic system, upgrading, expanding and building bridges on provincial and district roads: Binh Xuan Bridge, Nguyen Trong Dan Bridge; provincial roads 871, 871B, 862, 873, 2 routes 877, provincial road 871C were invested to create an important traffic hub connecting the eastern districts. In particular, the investment in provincial road 871B has created a connection between the town and enterprises in Gia Thuan Industrial Cluster 1, 2, creating job opportunities and development for workers and enterprises in the area. At the same time, the city also actively calls for investment in infrastructure development projects to ensure that they meet the requirements of urban development (roads and residential areas on both sides of Nguyen Trai Street extension with a total investment of 222 billion VND, roads and residential areas on both sides of Nguyen Trong Dan Street extension with a total investment of 420 billion VND and Truong Dinh residential area phase 3 with a total investment of 300 billion VND...) have contributed to raising the city's appearance to a new level...
ECONOMIC STRUCTURE TRANSFORMATION
Faced with the reality, one of the key tasks of industrial development in Tien Giang province mentioned in Resolution 10-NQ/TU of Tien Giang Provincial Party Committee is to effectively implement the Project "Restructuring the Industrial Sector of Tien Giang Province to 2020, with a vision to 2030", while attracting investment in developing supporting industries, high-tech industries, processing industries, industries serving agriculture and rural development...
Along with that is the development of industry in the direction of multi-industry, multi-product based on advantages and potentials, resources, ensuring product quality that is competitive enough in the domestic market and expanding export markets, accompanying the process of economic integration in the region and the world. On that basis, the province will create favorable conditions for investment, attract investment to develop key projects and works in each region and connect and link regions; continue to promote rapid growth of industry and improve growth quality in line with the economic restructuring roadmap of the province.

Referring to the movements of the Industry and Trade sector in recent years, especially when implementing Resolution 10 of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Tien Giang province Luu Van Phi emphasized that in recent years, Party committees at all levels, authorities, and sectors have led and organized the implementation of Resolution 10-NQ/TU, overcoming many difficulties and challenges, achieving important results in many fields. The scale and quality of growth have been quite good, the competitiveness of sectors and economic components has been improved. Foreign affairs and international economic integration have become increasingly extensive and achieved many results.
The highlight is that Tien Giang's export activities have developed strongly, with Tien Giang's export turnover ranking 2nd out of 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta. Accordingly, Tien Giang's export activities have developed significantly, with more and more direct exporting enterprises diversifying export items, gradually increasing the scale and export market. Items in the industrial goods group have increased sharply. This is a group that contributes greatly to the province's export turnover such as shoes, handbags, copper pipes, garments, etc. The most obvious result is that if in 2015, Tien Giang's export turnover reached 1.76 billion USD, by the end of 2024 it will reach more than 6.5 billion USD...
Resolution 10 of the Tien Giang Provincial Party Committee has also brought about many important results in many different fields.
