Shenzhen Port Group and Worldex visit and work with VIMC, promote strategic cooperation opportunities

On June 16, Vietnam National Shipping Lines (VIMC) welcomed and worked with a delegation of senior leaders from Shenzhen Port Group Co., Ltd. and Worldex Group led by Mr. Shen Huaxin, General Director of the Group. The visit opened up many expectations for strategic cooperation in the fields of seaports, logistics and cross-border infrastructure investment.

Leading the Shenzhen Port delegation were Mr. Shen Huaxin – General Director and Mr. Qiao Hongwei – Deputy General Director. On the side of Worldex, there was the presence of Mr. Yao Su – General Director of the Group. The guests expressed their desire to learn about the Vietnamese logistics market and at the same time seek specific and effective cooperation opportunities between the two sides.

At the meeting, VIMC representatives introduced an overview of the maritime service ecosystem that the Corporation is developing, including key national seaports, a large shipping fleet, and a comprehensive logistics network connecting the North - Central - South. VIMC is currently following the direction of promoting economic development and cooperation in many fields, especially the maritime industry, and considers the Chinese market as one of the key areas.

In response, the leaders of Shenzhen Port highly appreciated the port operation capacity and sustainable development of VIMC, affirming their desire to cooperate in developing a shipping route connecting directly between the ports of the two sides. At the same time, Mr. Tham Hoa Tan - General Director of Shenzhen Port Group expressed special interest in investment projects in logistics centers, warehouses and post-port logistics services, and proposed to exchange professional working groups in the coming time.

The two sides agreed to maintain regular contact, promote delegation exchanges and coordinate research on potential projects, especially in the context of the regional logistics and maritime transport market being strongly restructured towards greening, digitalization and value chain linkage.
