Thuy Linh enters Canada Open final thanks to comeback against Danish player

In the early morning of July 6, at the semi-finals of the Canadian Open Badminton Tournament, tennis player Nguyen Thuy Linh fought back hard against Amalie Schulz to win a ticket to the final.

Typically, in the quarterfinals, she only had to face an opponent 65 places lower in the world rankings, Wong Ling Ching (Malaysia), but she still needed 3 sets to win.

This time, Danish tennis player Amalie Schulz is 47 places behind Thuy Linh (69th compared to 22nd). But once again, the Vietnamese tennis player is having trouble.

In set 1, Thuy Linh used her good technical foundation to send the shuttlecock to two corners of the court. Amalie Schulz was confused by this way of playing for the first few minutes. Then, her height advantage helped the Danish player adapt and successfully neutralize it.

Although Thuy Linh tried hard to save set-point twice, she still had to accept defeat 21-23.

In set 2, the Vietnamese badminton hot girl continued to have difficulties when she was down 0-4. But with her experience, Thuy Linh equalized 4-4 and then started to pull away. The 21-11 victory helped her equalize the match score to 1-1 and enter set 3.

Everything continues to be under the control of the Vietnamese player. She made difficult shots, forcing Amalie Schulz to repeatedly push the ball over the net. Another October 21 victory helped Thuy Linh secure a ticket to the Canada Open final.

Her next opponent is the winner of the other semi-final between Michelle Li (Canada) and Manami Suizu (Japan). Michelle Li is currently ranked 19th in the world, while Suizu is ranked 35th. Both will be tough opponents for Thuy Linh.

This is the second time this year that Thuy Linh has reached the final of a Super 300 level tournament. Previously in March, she achieved this feat at the German Open. Her loss to Yeo Jia Min of Singapore meant she could only finish second.
