On the morning of June 30, Da Nang city held a ceremony to announce the Resolution and Decision of the Central and local governments on the arrangement and merger of provincial and commune-level administrative units, ending the operation of district-level administrative units; establishing party organizations, appointing Party committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of cities, communes, wards, and special zones.

The event is of special significance, marking a milestone in the process of reorganizing the government apparatus at all levels in Da Nang city in the spirit of innovation of the Party and State, aiming to streamline the apparatus, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management, and meet development requirements in the new situation.

At the ceremony, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu emphasized that from July 1, after the reorganization, Da Nang city will officially become the largest centrally-run city. The Central Government has always paid great attention to, supported and created favorable conditions for Da Nang city to develop, demonstrated through a series of special mechanisms and policies in recent times. The Standing member of the Secretariat also acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Nam province and Da Nang city in recent years.

After merging Quang Nam - Da Nang into Da Nang city (new), comrade Tran Cam Tu suggested that the City Party Committee Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the Party Committees of communes, wards, and special zones of Da Nang city must be a united and unified collective, promoting the intelligence and heroic historical traditions of the brave and resilient Quang Nam. From July 1, Da Nang city must urgently review and coordinate the planning of the two localities, complete the master plan, and ensure the synchronous and harmonious development of the entire Da Nang city (new). The city needs to continue to pay attention to effectively implementing the Central's guidelines on deploying a two-level government apparatus, implementing specific policies and mechanisms on building and developing the city in conjunction with the four recent breakthrough resolutions of the Politburo. At the same time, the city continues to carry out socio-economic development tasks to achieve the economic growth target; Strengthening administrative discipline in the leadership and direction of each industry and locality...

At the ceremony, representatives of the Central leadership announced a series of Resolutions and Decisions on the merger of provinces, cities, communes, wards and special zones in Da Nang city. Accordingly, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee (formerly) Nguyen Van Quang was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Da Nang city. Deputy Secretaries of the Da Nang City Party Committee include: Nguyen Dinh Vinh (Standing Deputy Secretary), Nguyen Duc Dung, Ngo Xuan Thang and Luong Nguyen Minh Triet. At the same time, comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet was also appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee and comrade Nguyen Duc Dung was appointed as Chairman of the City People's Council...

Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu presented official decisions and flowers to congratulate the launch of the Da Nang City Party Committee. Afterwards, the Da Nang City Party Committee Executive Committee also announced and presented decisions to establish Party Committees of 94 communes, wards, and special zones.
