Also attending were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien, and leaders of relevant ministries, branches and agencies.
After listening to reports, opinions and conclusions of the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh commended the ministries and branches for proactively and actively handling and resolving issues and contents of concern to the US side.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that in the context of rapid, complex and unpredictable developments in the world and the region, we will continue to firmly pursue the economic growth target of 8% or more this year, while maintaining macroeconomic stability, controlling inflation, ensuring major balances, and improving the material and spiritual lives of the people.
To achieve this goal, we continue to promote cooperation with all partners, including the United States; as in the morning of the same day, the Prime Minister chaired a discussion with British businesses operating, investing and doing business in Vietnam.
Following the directions of the Politburo and General Secretary To Lam, with the spirit of cooperation, proactiveness, positivity, efficiency, and perseverance, Vietnam is always ready to dialogue and consider issues of concern and requests of partners, including the United States, ready to listen to, absorb opinions, and resolve appropriate and appropriate proposals; on the basis of international practices, in compliance with laws and agreements between the two countries.

The Prime Minister pointed out that it is necessary to listen to each other's opinions, ensure harmony of interests, share risks, and benefit each other. If there are any problems, they must be resolved together, serving the interests of the two countries, people, businesses of both sides, and related entities; at the same time, it must not affect Vietnam's international commitments, ensure Vietnam's core interests, meet the requirements of maintaining independence, sovereignty, and building an independent and self-reliant economy associated with proactive and active international integration, deep, substantive, and effective.
With institutional and legal problems, the two sides will dialogue and find suitable solutions. If they are beyond their authority, they will propose to competent authorities for consideration and decision. From there, it will contribute to removing institutional bottlenecks, innovating the work of building and enforcing laws. This is one of the three strategic breakthroughs and also one of the "four pillars", thereby contributing to socio-economic development, promoting bilateral relations in general and economic, trade and investment relations in particular in an equal, stable, healthy and effective manner.
