On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, on August 23, Hanoi Museum, University of Industrial Fine Arts and Vietnam Fine Arts Association organized the painting exhibition "Hello Vietnam - My Homeland" by artist Ngo Ba Hoang, at Hanoi Museum (Pham Hung Street, Hanoi).

“Hello Vietnam - My Homeland” consists of 63 connected paintings, like a long poem in painting, stretching over 300 meters of canvas, 1.8 meters high, depicting the journey from the homeland's frontier - Lung Cu flagpole to Ca Mau cape, telling the story of the country, people and solidarity of 54 ethnic groups.

The exhibition takes viewers on a journey from North to South, to enjoy the beauty of nature, people and culture of Vietnam. From the cloud-covered terraced fields in the highlands, to the green alluvial plains; from the peaceful village communal houses in the countryside, to the ancient towns and the characteristics of the people and culture are all clearly depicted.

The exhibition “Hello Vietnam – My Homeland” was conceived and carried out by artist Ngo Ba Hoang, a lecturer in the Monumental Painting major at the University of Industrial Fine Arts, with more than 40 colleagues over two years. This is a passionate art project, inspired by the painting “Vietnam – Brocade Mountains and Rivers” (3.3 meters high, 12 meters long) created by the artist in 2020.
Painter Ngo Ba Hoang shared: “With this series of paintings, I hope that every Vietnamese person, especially the young generation, will understand, love and be proud of their homeland and country more. At the same time, I also hope that the art of Monumental Painting - the field that we are teaching and developing, will be widely accepted and loved by the public.”

The exhibition uses a realistic style combined with the typical techniques of monumental painting: continuity, simultaneous appearance and spatial convention, creating a flexible connection between lands.
“Hello Vietnam – My Homeland” is an artistic journey with the desire to connect love for the homeland and national pride, arousing the desire to preserve and promote Vietnamese cultural values.
The exhibition runs from August 23 to September 5, and will reopen in October and November 2025.
