Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh pays tribute to heroic martyrs in Quang Tri

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that the Party, State and people will forever remember and deeply appreciate the contributions and great sacrifices of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, heroic martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, and those who have rendered great service to the country.

On July 26, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Central working delegation visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Dao Thi Vui in Dai An Khe village, Hai Lang commune, Quang Tri province. Mother Dao had a husband and only one child who were martyrs (her husband was martyr Le Hoi who died in 1948, her son was martyr Le Thinh who died in 1969).

The Prime Minister respectfully presented Mother Dao Thi Vui with photos and videos recreating the image of her with her only son, made using artificial intelligence technology by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union .

The Prime Minister hopes that Mother Dao Thi Vui will always be healthy and clear-minded, and be a shining example to continue to encourage and educate local people and the younger generation about the dedication and sacrifice of previous generations, constantly promote the tradition of deep patriotism, heroic revolution, steadfast and indomitable spirit; set an example in implementing and mobilizing people to well implement the policies and laws of the Party and State.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested all levels, sectors and localities to further promote the tradition of "repaying gratitude" and the morality of "remembering the source of water", continue to care for the material and spiritual life, and implement better policies for those with meritorious services.

On the same day, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the delegation visited the special national historical site of Quang Tri Citadel and the National Road 9 Martyrs' Cemetery in Quang Tri to offer incense and flowers in memory of the heroic martyrs who fought and sacrificed for the Fatherland and the people.

The Prime Minister requested relevant ministries, sectors, units and local authorities to take care of the cemetery and graves; continue searching for and collecting martyrs' remains; create the best conditions for families of martyrs resting here and officials and people nationwide to visit the heroic martyrs; make the cemetery truly become a red address for educating revolutionary traditions.

On the same day, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the delegation offered incense and flowers to commemorate General Secretary Le Duan at the General Secretary Le Duan Memorial Site.

The Prime Minister observed a minute of silence to commemorate the great contributions of General Secretary Le Duan to the cause of national liberation and reunification, as well as to express his deep gratitude to the staunch communist, the outstanding leader of the Vietnamese revolution, the excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh, and the outstanding son of his homeland Quang Tri.

Comrade Le Duan's real name is Le Van Nhuan, born on April 7, 1907, in Quang Tri province. With nearly 60 years of revolutionary activities, including 26 years as First Secretary and General Secretary of the Party, Comrade Le Duan clearly demonstrated himself to be an outstanding leader, an excellent theorist, and a strategic figure of the Vietnamese revolution.
