
From August 1-5, the State Ethnic Affairs Commission of China will organize a traditional ethnic art program with the theme "Colors of China" and carry out many friendly exchange activities in Hanoi, at the invitation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam.
On this occasion, a delegation from the State Ethnic Committee of China led by Mr. Wang Chenggang, Director of the Central Chinese Ethnic Song and Dance Troupe, visited and paid a courtesy visit to the leaders of the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs and Religions of Vietnam.
Expressing his joy at visiting Vietnam, Mr. Vuong Thanh Cuong shared with the leaders of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Vietnam some basic information about his unit.
Accordingly, the Central Chinese Nationalities Song and Dance Troupe was established in 1952 and is under the State Ethnic Committee of China.
With more than 300 artists from 36 ethnic minorities representing China's cultural diversity, the troupe regularly organizes traveling performances in remote areas, border areas, and participates in a series of important foreign affairs events of the Chinese State.
Over the past 70 years, the troupe has visited and performed in more than 100 countries and territories.
“Coming to Vietnam this time, we have prepared very carefully and will bring the best performances to the Vietnamese people. Besides the content reflecting the uniqueness of the Chinese ethnic groups, there will also be many songs familiar to many Vietnamese people,” said Mr. Cuong.

Ms. Trieu Tinh, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation, State Ethnic Affairs Commission of China, emphasized the good cooperation between the ethnic affairs management agencies of Vietnam and China in recent times, promoting the spirit of friendly neighborliness, both comrades and brothers of the two countries.
“Vietnam has always been a companion of China on the path to socialism. In the coming time, we hope that we will continue to strengthen cooperation and friendly exchanges in the field of ethnic affairs; coordinate to implement many activities to connect the people of the two countries, and jointly promote the Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future of strategic significance," said Ms. Trieu Tinh.
On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs and Religion, Deputy Minister Y Thong welcomed the delegation of the State Ethnic Committee of China to visit Vietnam; wished the State Ethnic Committee of China and the Central Chinese Ethnic Song and Dance Troupe to have a successful performance in Vietnam.

Deputy Minister Y Thong also shared with the delegation of the Chinese State Ethnic Committee updated information on Vietnam's historic revolution in streamlining the state administrative apparatus in recent days.
During that revolution, the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions was also reorganized and streamlined. After 63 provinces and cities were streamlined into 34 provinces and cities, the system of agencies doing ethnic affairs at the local level only had 27 provincial-level administrative units (no longer had district-level organizations).
Currently, the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions has a number of preparatory colleges (for children of ethnic minorities) as public service units under the ministry. The Deputy Minister expressed his hope that Vietnam could learn more experience from China's model of managing ethnic universities.
