(GLO)- Mr. Ho Van Nien - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee (formerly) has just been assigned, transferred and appointed by the Prime Minister to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions from July 1.

Previously, on the afternoon of June 30, Secretary of the Government Party Committee, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the ceremony to announce the Prime Minister's decision on appointing officials.

At the ceremony, Head of the Government Party Committee's Organizing Committee and Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra announced the Prime Minister's decisions.

In particular, Mr. Ho Van Nien - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee was transferred, assigned, and appointed to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions. The decision takes effect from July 1, 2025, with a term of appointment of 5 years.

Presenting the appointment decision, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his excitement at strengthening the leadership personnel for the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions right on the "country and mountains" festival day.

The Government leader thanked the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for its contribution to training cadres, fostering and helping Mr. Ho Van Nien grow up; at the same time, he affirmed that during his work, Mr. Ho Van Nien had made many contributions to the Party Committee, the government and the people.

The Prime Minister also expressed his hope that in his new position, Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions Ho Van Nien will continue to promote the spirit of "as long as the Party exists, we exist", contributing with the highest sense of responsibility; at the same time, preserving revolutionary ethics, setting an example for subordinates.

In his acceptance speech, the new Permanent Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions Ho Van Nien expressed his deep gratitude to the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Party and State leaders for their trust and entrustment of the task; emphasizing that being assigned to a new position is a great honor, as well as a heavy responsibility for him in his upcoming work.

Mr. Ho Van Nien also affirmed that he will continue to make efforts and strive and hopes to continue to receive the attention and direction of the leaders and the coordination of the agencies to excellently complete the assigned tasks.
