Vietnam firmly supports the universality and full implementation of the CTBT, and continues to be an active voice in promoting international cooperation for this goal.

The Deputy Minister proposed that the CTBTO increase support for Vietnam to improve its professional and technical capacity, especially in the field of monitoring and responding to nuclear incidents; create conditions for more Vietnamese officials to work at CTBTO agencies; and support Vietnam to successfully assume the role of Chair of the 11th Review Conference of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons in 2026.

In the complicated international context, the fact that the world has not witnessed any more nuclear tests in nearly 10 years is an encouraging sign.
