According to a quick report from the Department of Agriculture and Environment, on June 19, the riverbank and beach area of the left dike of Cau (corresponding to K8+100-K8+250) experienced a landslide that ate into the riverbank from 5-15m with a total length of about 150m. By June 27, the riverbank and beach area from K8+250-K8+500 continued to erode, connecting to the previous landslide point.
Through monitoring in recent days, the landslide location from K8+100-K8+250 continued to develop, eroding further into the riverbank by 4-5m. In response to the above incident, the local authorities mobilized human resources to clear the dike slope on the eastern side of the landslide area with a length of about 150m; built a layer of sandbags; used tarpaulins to limit rainwater flowing directly from the surface and dike slope into the landslide area; and supported the relocation of 5 households with about 20 people to temporarily live elsewhere to ensure safety.

Regarding the incident of the extrusion and bubbling circuit in the suction tank area of Cam Bao Pumping Station, according to the report of Nam Song Thuong Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Limited Liability Company, the incident of the extrusion and bubbling circuit in the suction tank of the pumping station was discovered at 10:30 a.m. on June 30. During the incident handling process, two new bubbling circuits continued to appear. The locality mobilized local forces to build a dike to separate the area where the bubbling circuit appeared, and at the same time, poured sand to cover the entire affected area with an area of more than 200 square meters, with an average height of about 1.5 meters.

In particular, the spirit of "4 on-site" initiative was promoted to mobilize human resources, materials, equipment, vehicles, ensuring the coordination plan between the military and the police to handle the incident in the first hour, not allowing the incident to spread and keeping the construction safe.
He emphasized the extremely dangerous nature of the two incidents mentioned above, especially when the stormy weather is becoming more and more complicated. He requested the province and communes to focus on the task of overcoming the incident; ensuring the safety of the dikes, the safety of lives and property of the people and the State.

The Deputy Minister requested Bac Ninh province to urgently reassess the current status of all dikes in the province, especially key areas at risk of landslides and areas undergoing landslides. Proactively research and develop technical plans and mobilize investment resources to reinforce, renovate, upgrade and expand to ensure the dikes are effective in preventing floods and rural transport infrastructure.
At the same time, after implementing the stable arrangement of administrative units, the province needs to continue to pay attention to renovating and upgrading the infrastructure of long-standing irrigation works that have now deteriorated.
