Over the past 5 seasons, the HTV Challenge Cup has continuously innovated in terms of terrain and competition categories to meet the tastes of the audience and the off-road vehicle enthusiast community in Vietnam. The 6th season will take place on November 30 and December 1 at the NovaWorld Phan Thiet tourist area (Binh Thuan).
Binh Thuan Open Off-Road Car Race - HTV Challenge Cup 2024 competes on red sand terrain with many new challenges for athletes
At the announcement ceremony of the 6th season held today in Ho Chi Minh City, the representative of the organizing committee said that up to now, the tournament has attracted 80 teams (160 athletes) nationwide to register to compete in 2 categories of the tournament: professional and semi-professional. In which, the semi-professional category allows teams to compete with original cars or upgraded cars. Upgrading, also known as car modification, must comply with the regulations of the tournament.
The competition on red sand in Binh Thuan is also a highlight, promising to bring many challenges, requiring skills to handle complex terrain such as deep holes, staggered holes, swamps, cliffs... and speed handling skills on sandy terrain. "This year, I will use a new car to suit the sand racing terrain in Binh Thuan. I have carefully prepared both the racing car and my mentality, ready to conquer the HTV Challenge Cup this time", famous racer Vu Ngoc Cuong shared.

Mr. Huynh Ngoc Tam - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province said that the tournament is an opportunity for athletes to exchange, learn and help fans witness exciting competitions. "The tournament also aims to introduce people to car driving skills, contributing to promoting and protecting traffic safety. This is also an opportunity to promote cultural values and tourism products, contributing to the socio -economic development of Binh Thuan", Mr. Huynh Ngoc Tam shared.
The Binh Thuan Open Off-Road Car Race – HTV Challenge Cup 2024 has a total prize of nearly 400 million VND, of which the first prize in the professional category receives a prize of 100 million VND, the first prize in the semi-professional category receives a prize of 80 million VND. The tournament is broadcast live on HTV9, HTV Sports.
