I am Nguyen Viet Khoa.
Pride of homeland
In 2009, Mo Cay Bac district was officially established, bringing with it many expectations for a new journey after the administrative division from Mo Cay district. In that year, many children cried out at birth, opening the way for the first generation of citizens to grow up in the development journey of the new land. Now, after more than 16 years, those children have become sixteen and seventeen year old boys and girls carrying with them pride, love for their homeland and a sense of responsibility for their homeland.
Nguyen Viet Khoa - a student of class 10C7, Ngo Van Can High School, is one of the representatives of the generation "born in the same district" and shared: "I feel very lucky and proud to live, grow up, study and witness my homeland growing stronger and stronger."
Khoa said that through his parents' stories, he understood the difficulties that the previous generation had experienced - slippery dirt roads, inadequate classrooms, and outdated medical facilities. Compared to today, when he was studying in a spacious school, walking on asphalt roads, and receiving medical treatment in a fully equipped medical facility, Khoa cherished his current life even more and nurtured the desire to contribute his small part to the development of his homeland.
Not only has Khoa been an excellent student for 10 consecutive years, winning many awards in district and provincial competitions for excellent students, he also actively participates in Youth Union and volunteer activities. Khoa also participates in the "Kindness" Club, contributing to bringing hundreds of free meals every month to people in difficult circumstances.
I wish to follow in my father's footsteps.
As a typical student, Vo Thi Ngoc Anh - a student of class 10A1, Nhuan Phu Tan High School, carries the spirit of continuous improvement. Born into a family with a traditionof education , inspired by her grandparents, parents and teachers about her homeland and revolutionary tradition, Ngoc Anh always strives to study and practice.
I am Vo Thi Ngoc Anh.
“I am very proud to know that Mo Cay Bac is a land rich in revolutionary traditions with important historical relics such as the Saigon - Gia Dinh Party Committee Relic, Tan Ngai Communal House, Tich Khanh Communal House, Professor Ca Van Thinh Memorial Site… I feel that I have a responsibility to preserve and promote that tradition. I hope that in the future I can contribute to the technology field to serve the cause of building my homeland,” Ngoc Anh shared.
With excellent student achievements, always being accompanied by family and teachers, I believe in the journey ahead, where the aspirations of contribution and dedication will be materialized through actions and the right career choice.
Two young people, two different personalities but have something in common: Both carry in their hearts the pride of the land of Mo Cay Bac - which used to be an important revolutionary base in the two resistance wars against France and America. That land witnessed fierce battles, where thousands of outstanding people fell for independence and freedom. That sacrifice has become the foundation for today's generation to follow with a great sense of responsibility.
“Sixteen years is not a long journey in the flow of history, but it is a long enough journey to witness the daily changes of a land and the growth of the young buds of the past. Viet Khoa and Ngoc Anh are two of many young people born in the same year the district was established who have been actively participating in the construction of their homeland, training their morality and knowledge to prepare for the future.” (Secretary of Mo Cay Bac District Youth Union Tran Duc Loc) |
