This afternoon, June 26, before the math exam for the high school graduation exam, at the exam site of Trung Vuong Secondary School (Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi ), the image of teachers from Hong Ha High School carefully calling each student right in front of the school gate, continuously calling those who had not arrived, left many emotions.
This year, 42 students from Hong Ha High School took the high school graduation exam. To ensure that no student was late, the teachers arrived early and marked their students on the list as they arrived and passed through the exam gate.
Mr. Dat and Ms. Hien carefully checked each student on the list to see if they had arrived at the exam location.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Hien, an economics and law teacher at the school, shared: “Like every year, the homeroom teachers are always present at the exam site about 30 minutes in advance to take attendance of students, in case they have any problems on the road. At the same time, the presence of the teachers is also a way to help students feel more confident before the exam."
According to the regulations, candidates who are more than 15 minutes late will not be allowed to take the graduation exam. Therefore, if the students have not appeared yet, the teachers will call and contact the parents to urge them to arrive on time because in 12 years of studying, this is the time when they are not allowed to be late.
According to Ms. Hien, this year is the first time the high school graduation exam is organized according to the new generaleducation program, focusing on assessing abilities instead of just testing memorized knowledge. This makes students and teachers both nervous and worried.
Want to accompany students at the most important moment
“With the motto "learning with love", we always put companionship first. We do not put pressure on scores, but hope that children will take the exam with calmness, confidence and the best mindset,” Ms. Hien added.
Present with Ms. Hien, Mr. Nguyen Trong Dat, a teacher at Hong Ha High School, carefully called out the names of each student on the list.
“Ms. Hien and I came to take attendance of our students taking the exam at Trung Vuong Secondary School. We have maintained this for the past 15 years. Once, when I saw a student absent, I was very worried and immediately contacted the family. Luckily, the student arrived on time. I felt really relieved at that moment,” said Mr. Dat.
Mr. Dat called the students to remind them not to be late for the exam.

Mr. Dat also shared: "Teachers are not only teachers in class but also companions with students during important moments in life. Seeing our students arrive in full, on time, with confident eyes and a steady mentality before exams makes teachers like us feel at ease."
According to Mr. Dat, although this is the first year of taking exams under the new general education program with many big changes, in the teaching process, teachers have felt the efforts of students over the past 3 years of study. Therefore, teachers believe that if students do the test with their true ability and mindset, the results will be worthy of the effort they put in.
Feeling the special attention of teachers, some candidates who are students of Hong Ha High School shared that they were more motivated and felt more comfortable knowing that there were always teachers who cared and followed them.
This afternoon, candidates will take the math test in 90 minutes. Compared to previous years, the math test (and multiple-choice tests) for candidates taking the 2018 General Education Program will be more diverse in format. In addition to the multiple-choice test format, there will also be true/false and short-answer formats. The test will be arranged from easy to difficult.
