The city of Pokrovsk was divided into east and west parts by the Russian army.
Russian troops entered Pokrovsk and divided the city into eastern and western parts; information about the situation of Russian troops entering Pokrovsk was extremely chaotic.

Information about the situation in Pokrovsk is currently “confused”; Kiev uses “very strange” words to inform the public about the situation in Pokrovsk. The fact that Ukrainian troops have lost control of part of the city, including the central area, is not acknowledged by Kiev. Instead, Kiev says there are “small groups” of Russians within the city limits, “who have lost their way,” “are being destroyed,” and “cannot decide on anything at all”; creating an information “matrix,” confusing public opinion.
According to social media (mainly on Telegram), Russian troops have broken into Pokrovsk, operating in different areas, and the city has been divided into two parts - west and east. Of course, not like the “Berlin Wall”. However, the systematic cutting off of the Ukrainian garrisons in the city made the chances of retaking at least one of these two parts - the eastern part, increasingly less, as it had much fewer supply options. This part was connected to the Mirnograd region, which was also surrounded from several directions. At the same time, the Ukrainian military (AFU) confirmed that the RFAF had cut the railway line in the area of the town of Bilytske, located 20km north of Pokrovsk, and that Russian troops were advancing on the town. Some photos showed that Russian troops had occupied the town council building, but this was not confirmed by either side. However, the Russian advance to Bilytske was enough to complicate the supply of the Pokrovsk garrison to areas north of the city, including the town of Rodinske.
The Russian Military Review website reported that fighting is currently taking place near the administrative buildings of Pokrovsk, as well as in the direction of the railway station. The Military Summary channel reported that Ukrainian sources released a video recording the scene of Ukrainian troops intercepting Russian troops deep inside Pokrovsk. This proves that the Russian troops have broken into the city center. Moreover, Russian sources report further advances by Russian special forces. According to Readovka, the "Octopus" operation to penetrate deep into Pokrovsk continues as RFAF units simultaneously penetrate the central districts of the city. Specifically, the RFAF 2nd Guards Army continued to penetrate deep into Pokrovsk. Currently, the front line practically runs through the city's central market and the nearby bus station. RFAF assault units have been operating near Evropeiskaya Street. The RFAF's capture of apartment buildings in the Evropeiskaya area will pave the way for the offensive to develop both to the north and east. On the western flank of the city, Russian troops are advancing along Zashchitnikov Ukrainy Street, to reach the intersection of the E-50 highway and the roads from Dobropolye. Once this junction is under control, the RFAF will almost completely cut off the supply lines to the Ukrainian garrison in Pokrovsk. AFU units will then have only one rural road through the village of Grishino, leading to Rodinskoye.
The RFAF's tactics in Pokrovsk were based on exploiting the AFU's severe shortage of infantry to penetrate defensive points. Instead of establishing a continuous front line, the AFU had only enough troops to defend key points, such as buildings, intersections, and fighting positions. However, with such a “broken” defensive structure of the AFU, this resulted in limited support between units and vulnerability to flank attacks. Taking advantage of this, many small groups of Russian shock troops were able to penetrate the rear, or blockade areas without attacking. At present, the General Staff and the Pokrovsk Group of the AFU do not have the time and resources to stabilize the situation and can only slow down the pace of the offensive, but cannot stop the Russian advance into Pokrovsk. Without coordination between the defense points, their situation will continue to deteriorate.
Z-Committee channel confirmed that in the north of Pokrovsk city, Russian troops are advancing towards the settlements of Sakhove, New Sakhove, Bilytske, Rodinske. It can be seen that the situation in Pokrovsk is changing every hour, we will continuously update the situation on the hottest front of the current Russia-Ukraine battlefield.
