"I came to North London as a young boy who could barely speak English. Now I leave as a grown man very proud of what I have contributed to Tottenham," Son began his letter.
"I have had great memories with Tottenham but now, I need a little change, a new environment to motivate myself. Leaving Tottenham is the most difficult decision I have ever made in my career," the Korean striker added.

Besides, Son sent his thanks to the fans for giving him so much love. The star born in 1992 believes that now is the right time to say goodbye to the North London team.
"I hope everyone can accept and respect my decision. Thank you for everything," Son concluded his letter.
Son is in talks with Los Angeles FC (LAFC). The MLS club is expected to pay a transfer fee of around 15 to 20 million euros for the deal.
LAFC sees Son Heung-min as a key player to enhance their attacking prowess and elevate their league standing. LAFC's board believes Son Heung-min can make a breakthrough both professionally and commercially, especially thanks to his influence in the Korean community in Los Angeles.
Son has spent 10 years at Tottenham. He has played 454 games, scored 173 goals and just ended his title drought by winning the Europa League with the North London club. After the final, Son declared himself Tottenham's "legendary captain".
